Anne Reilly

Following her Leaving Certificate in 1984, Anne (King) Reilly studied Commerce in UCD.  During her studies she secured employment with W&C McDonnells (part of the Unilever group) on the Marsh Road, Drogheda, where she worked in several financial and administrative roles.  Due to the closure of the margarine plant in 1993,  Anne moved to H.J.Heinz, Dundalk, as a Procurement Officer buying packaging and ingredients for their fresh pizza production plant.

From 1996, Anne worked for the HSE and as a temporary National School teacher but returned to the business world in 1999 as a self-employed book-keeper.

Throughout her career, Anne was an avid learner, studying courses from Logistics to Procurement,  IT, Data Protection and Marketing to broaden her skillset.

Having first had the opportunity in W&C McDonnells, her passion for payroll was re-ignited when she decided to gain formal qualifications with the Irish Payroll Association.  Joining IPASS as a lecturer in Payroll and Employment law, Anne spotted a niche for bespoke payroll services and founded Paycheck Plus in 2005.

Paycheck Plus is now the leading provider of outsourced payroll services in Ireland, employing 26 people in Drogheda and Manchester to calculate wages and taxes for over 500 companies in Ireland, the UK and across the globe.

Anne’s passion for payroll and business acumen were rewarded as Paycheck Plus was awarded Best Payroll Provider in the world in 2018. Personally, Anne has received a plethora of awards and accreditations including Best Leader in her sector and Irish Businesswoman of the Year.

As Chief Executive of Paycheck Plus, Anne continued to enhance her skillset in areas from GDPR to Strategy & Innovation.  She came first in Ireland in her studies to become a Company Director with the Institute of Directors (IoD) and qualified in Neuro Linguistic Programming.  In 2022, she completed her Masters in Business Practice through the IMI and UCC.

Anne sits on several Boards including the National Council for ISME.  She is proud to be an Executive Coach and voluntary lead with ACORNS, an initiative of the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and the Marine supporting rural female entrepreneurship.

Living in Clogherhead, Co Louth, married to Seamus and with four sons, Anne welcomes opportunities to share her passion for business strategy and entrepreneurship.
