Greenhills Girls are Leinster Champions

Congratulations to the Our Lady’s College under 15 soccer team who have been crowned Leinster “A” League Champions in a tough campaign in which 120 schools competed for the coveted title.

In a thrilling final against St. Leo’s of Carlow, the Greenhills girls led by captain Carolina Mota, dazzled the opposition and the crowd with an impressive display of skill and determination. Goal scorers on the day were Anna Mc Donnell and Rebecca Purcell who managed to put 2 away!

Goalkeeper Mia Corrigan won Player of the Match and it was a particularly memorable occasion for the Mac Mahon family as sisters Ellen and Kelly played side by side.

The future for soccer in Greenhills looks bright as 8 students of the 18-member squad are still in first year.

All in Greenhills are immensely proud of the team’s wonderful achievement. Many congrats to the students and their coaches Liz Conway and Brian Kane.
